Blue Light Grill: Tasty food and an enjoyable place to meet people. Try the chicken. Boars Head Inn: One of the finest spots in Charlottesville. The scenery is astonishing. Breakfast with pancakes is good. The dinners are top notch. Zocalo: Fun and excellent meals with a twist. Plenty of scene. Downtown mall. Buddhist Biker Bar: More for the fun and alcohol than for the menu items. When UVA is in session Buddhist is popular.
Off the beaten path: The Tavern: Where Charlottesville's residents and students join to enjoy decent home style cooked menu items. Escafe: Events almost every night. One of the big alternative restaurants in Charlottesville. Guadalajara: Great Mexican food. We recommend is the tacos. Top picks: Thai 99: Thai menu, enjoyable for sit down or doggy bags. We like the Naamh Tok. Christians Pizza: Very good New York style Pizza by the slice or by the pie. Two locations. Little John's: 24-hour menu items, Clearly one of Charlottesville's top restaurants. University of Virginia. Try the Turkey Ruben.
